Unemployment benefits are given only to those registering as unemployed, and often on conditions ensuring that they seek work and do not currently have a job.

Hence , you are not eligible for the same please !!!
Reply:no

you are voluntarily unemployed
Reply:You can always file for UI; whether or not your claim will be approved depends on the circumstances under which you left. For example, were you asked to take early retirement, or did you volunteer to leave? Did you receive severance payment in a lump sum, or are you still on payroll in a retirment classification, or are you receiving an annuity (fixed payment for a period of time?

If you quit voluntarily for any reason, including an early retirement, it is doubtful that a UI claim will be approved. If you were forced to leave, a claim could be approved. The only way to know for sure will be to file a claim and find out. If the claim is denied, you do have the right to appeal that decision, but you will need to present compelling evidence as to why you needed to leave your job (looking for a better job is not considered to be a valid reason.)

Good luck.
Reply:The worst that can happen if you file, is they turn you down.
Reply:no, if you resign you cannot collect
Reply:...I do not think you can get unemployment if you left a job intentionally, and retirement is intentional, But I would inquire with the State and make sure
Reply:try it. they will tell you
