Is dishwashing in a restaurant a bad job for a female with good looking hands and nails?

Will it ruin my hands and nails?

Just clean them when you get home and keep them a little shorter than usual to prevent a lot of gunk getting underneath the nail. I suppose you'd have to go the extra mile to take care of them, but other than that it should be fine.
Reply:no, actually it's good for the hands and nails. it'll keep them clean and as long as you moisturize well after your job is done . they should be even better.use Palmer's cocoa butter lotion or coconut oil. they both smell great and are great moisturizers . good luck and good day.
Reply:If you are a dishwasher you would probably be wearing gloves....so i dont think that your hands would be too bad. Nail breakage will probably happen alot. Your hands will also stink from the gloves.
Reply:yes it will ruin your hands even gloves don't work
Reply:yes definitely. wear gloves if you can and lotion your hands after every time you wash dishes.
Reply:why are you in the kitchen? I've noticed that restaurants keep the the uglies working in there, outta sight.
Reply:It's a bad job for anybody. I applaud your willingness to do it, because, although it is hard work, it is honest work. Don't be afraid to ask for gloves, if they won't provide them, buy your own . You can get them at the dollar store. Good Luck
Reply:It can but you should wear gloves and be fine.
Reply:ask them if you can wear gloves. that will help to not dry out and damage your hands as much. i wouldnt bother giving your self a manicute, only because the polish wont last very long. but just make sure you constantly put lotion on your hands. like before and after your shift. you dont have to go over board with it, its just to help reduce the risk of making your hands dried out and pruny.
