What is the best way to look for a job in the year, 2007?

I know that it sometimes depends on what type of job you are looking for. But it seems like most job listings are on the internet now and there is no direct contact between the employer and the person seeking work anymore. Employers don't like you to call them directly nor do that like walk-ins. Is it true everything is on the internet now? This is a cold way of doing business and sometimes you have to apply indirectly for work through a third party. This seems to be time consuming and a total waste of time. Employers don't list in actual newspapers anymore and I hate networking.

You can check in penny saver and stuff like that. It is really mostly online now.
Reply:It's all about who you know. Talk to friends, family, previous business contacts. LinkedIn is a free professional networking site where you can post referrals and get introduced through other's connections. You also might try a local between jobs ministry. Report Abuse
